Clash of the Titans - More like Clash of the story writers

I just watched Clash of the Titans. Disappointing really..

I'm quite a guy when it comes to movies, I love action, comedy, bit of drama, some love and lots of special effects. Lucky for the special effects or I would have slept throughout the movie.

The building up to the climax was so good. When is he going to kill the Kraken, how? With medusa's head? Oh.. How? But the so called "hero", didn't do much at all. There was no character building, the only endearing people on the show was Draco and Perseus's father, the fisherman. The rest were all just like 'erm, who are they and what are they doing here?' Then there were these 2 hunters who joined the army. I think the writers meant them as comic relief but they were NOT FUNNY at all. They were hardly in the movie. When they re-emerged in one of the movie scenes I thought for a second, 'hey, who are these random people waving at Perseus?'

There were so many scenes they could have included to make the movie better. One disappointing scene when was Pegasus took off the beach with the 'hero' on his back. They didn't even show him take off from the ground. One minute he was running so gallantly and next minute he's flying in the air. For a movie made in 2009-2010, isn't it just sad???

After the Movie I still don't understand so many things.
- Who is this Io? Why is she helping Perseus?
- Why is Medusa bad? If she was turned into a monster by Athena shouldn't she be going after Athena? Why after these harmless men who turn to stone when they look at her?
- All the Gods seem bad! Athena not pitying Medusa. Turns Medusa into a monster. Medusa now loves killing men in her temple. Hades raping Medusa. Zeus tricking Hades. Hades getting revenge, then Zeus thinks he still the better God because he created men? Zeus loves men too much but wants to let them suffer under Hades first? Just doesn't make any sense!!!

But the best part? The ending. (SPOLIER ALERT) All Perseus had to do to kill the Cracken was show him Medusa's head. The monster turns to stone and die. I thought Medusa only affected mortal men?!!!! Next, Perseus puts Hades back in hell with a lightning charged sword, just one stoke. Yes, JUST ONE STOKE. That was it. Fight over.

In the end, I left feeling $22.50 poorer, robbed 2hours of my precious weekend and so many questions left unanswered.

Special effects were cool though.

Rating: 2/5
